Summary to amend Code of Conduct By-Law:
In order to comply with the regulation set by the Local Governance Act, the municipality must amend item 9 under the “Initial Review” section of our Code of Conduct By-Law 2.2 to read:
If the complaint is not summarily dismissed, the Mayor must refer the complaint to the clerk’s office, who shall bring the matter before council at a regular meeting.
The first and second reading were done, by summary, during regular council meeting on Monday, January 12, 2026. The third and final reading will be done during the regular council meeting on Monday, February 9th, 2026.
