October 6-12 is National Fire Prevention Week. The theme for 2024 is “Smoke Alarms: Make Them Work for You”. During this week, please take the time to realize the importance of having working smoke alarms and how to react when one sounds.
The Council of the Municipality of Lakeland Ridges would like to express our sincere appreciation to all of our volunteer firefighters from all four of our departments. These men and women not only risk their lives during emergencies but they also sacrifice their personal time for training, certification, regular meetings, etc. Being a volunteer firefighter is a huge commitment and does not go unnoticed.
We would also like to say “thank you” to the Ladies Auxiliary groups who work hard behind the scenes preparing meals and snacks for our firefighters during emergencies. They also raise money for equipment, etc.
