Ward One
August 31 – Breakfast – 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. at the Community Hall, 4426 Route 122, Fosterville, N.B. Sponsored by the Forest City Cemetery Association.
Menu – Bacon, sausages, scrambled eggs, hash browns, toast, baked beans, pancakes, juice, coffee, and tea. Cost is by donation.
Ward Two
July 2 – August 23 – Debec Summer Children Program at the Debec Community Center
Monday – Friday – 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (Child to bring lunch and snacks for the day and their own water/drink bottle) Fee: $ 100 per week for the first child, $ 50 per week for each additional child, $ 20 per day option. Basketball, soccer, water balloons, capture the flag, movies, weekly themed activities and more! Register at debecrec@gmail.com Still have vacancies or will be added to waiting list.

Ward Three
August 23-25 – Meductic Community Days
August 23– Bossy Bingo – Meductic Community Park– Only 100 tickets to be sold. Available at Cumming’s Store. The square with the largest deposit wins $ 500 cash prize. If the cow deposits on a line, then the judges will determine the winner. You do not need to be present to win.
August 23 – Corn Boil and BBQ – 7:00 p.m. In the park followed by Fireworks at dusk.
August 24 – Meductic Fire Department Community Days Breakfast – 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
Meductic Park under the tent. By Donation. Proceeds to go toward equipment, supplies and training.
Allie Yerxa Memorial Kids Fishing Derby – 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. On the docks in Meductic Park
Children of all ages welcome. Allie was a long-time resident of Meductic who is remembered for this love of fishing. His family honours his memory by organizing this event each year. Come show off your fishing skills and try to catch the big fish!
Vendor Market in the Park
Parade – 12:00 Noon (line up at Sabian at 11:00 a.m.) Theme – “Blast From The Past” – A Journey Through The Decades – 1950’s, 1960’s, 1970’s, 1980’s, 1990’s – What era do you remember most? Dress up or decorate a float and come on out and participate.
Food Truck in the park
1:30 p.m. – Free face painting, bouncy castle, various kids’ games, Fire Department water games – in the park.
2:00 p.m. – Old Fashion Bingo –Jackpot $ 1,000 – in the park
Ward Four
August – Every Tuesday evening. – Music at the Park in Canterbury – Admission by donation. 50% of the proceeds will go to the artist and 50% to the Committee. Bring a chair, come out and show your support! If there are any vendors who would like to set up on these nights reach out to Tanya Cloutier to be added to the list.
August 17 – 4 Team Co-ed Softball Tournament (currently full) $ 300 per team, 50/50 draw, homerun contest. BBQ on site (school ball field) CASH ONLY – everyone welcome to enjoy. All proceeds to Ward 4 Rec Committee
August 30 – Rollerblading and Music at the Rink in Canterbury – 6:00 p.m. (weather permitting) BBQ on site
September 7 – ATV Rally – CFM 72 with Torque Motorsports are hosting the 4th Annual Poker Rally. Ride is 50-60 miles. Registration 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at the Canterbury Community Center. Cost is $ 10 per person. Ladies Auxiliary will be serving breakfast sandwiches in the a.m. 50/50 Draw, BBQ at halfway point. Hoping for a great turnout and an awesome day of wheeling and socializing.
